K-Tron Now Offers New Quick-Clean
Hygienic AerolockTM Rotary Valve Designed
for Sanitary Pharmaceutical Applications
SALINA, KS, USA (March 31, 2011) – K-Tron’s new Quick-Clean Hygienic AerolockTM (QCH) rotary valve is specially designed for sanitary pharmaceutical applications requiring the metering of bulk solid materials where frequent cleaning and ease of operation is imperative. The low capacity rotary valve offers a highly polished P150 grit Ra 0.8 surface on both the interior and exterior of the unit, with all product surfaces FDA approved. The valve is constructed from a solid piece of DIN 1.4404 [AISI 316L] stainless steel and can be easily disassembled, cleaned and reassembled.
The 80 mm [3 in] QCH rotary valve that will be on display, has a removable full end disc six-blade rotor with rounded pockets and tri-clamp connections, all constructed of DIN 1.4404 [AISI 316L] stainless steel. It offers pressure differential up to 1.0 bar [15 PSI] and is suitable for handling products up to 100° C [212° F]. The QCH is also available in 100 and 150 mm [4 and 6 in] sizes. The standard unit is available with inboard bearings and a right angle direct drive with PTFE lip seals.
